My Competiton Car: Mecanic operates with local-first storage. We do not sell, trade, or share personal data with data brokers or advertising networks. Diagnostic telemetry is retained for no more than 90 days. Users have an irrevocable right to request complete data deletion under Apple Guideline 5.1.1(v) and GDPR Article 17.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with our companion website and the game, we process the following minimum necessary categories of information:
- Local Game Save Data: Your custom garage builds, vehicle condition, race lap times, and earned credits are stored locally on your device storage (and synced to personal iCloud / Game Center if enabled by your iOS settings).
- Voluntary Support Inquiries: If you contact our pit support desk or submit a diagnostic ticket, we collect your email address and provided issue description.
- Anonymized Performance Telemetry: Crash logs, framerate performance, and hardware specifications (e.g., iPhone model, GPU driver) collected solely for bug triage.
2. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Article 6)
We process your data strictly under:
- Performance of Contract: To deliver game features, save progression, and render purchased vehicle packages.
- Legitimate Interests: To detect crashes, optimize physics calculations, and prevent client tampering or cheating.
- User Consent: For pre-release newsletter alerts and direct email correspondence.
3. Third-Party Services & Apple Frameworks
The game interacts strictly with official platform APIs:
- Apple StoreKit: Manages in-app purchases without exposing credit card details to our studio.
- Apple Game Center / iCloud Drive: Manages multiplayer leaderboards and cloud synchronization under Apple's standard privacy policies.
4. Data Deletion Mechanism (Apple Guideline 5.1.1(v) & GDPR Article 17)
You have the absolute right to request irreversible deletion of any personal data or cloud telemetry held by our studio:
- Visit our Support & Data Deletion Portal.
- Submit your Player Pilot ID or email address.
- Requests are automatically queued, verified, and purged within 30 days.
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
Our game is rated 4+ and does not intentionally harvest personal identifying data from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union). If a parent discovers their child has transmitted identifying telemetry, contact us immediately for deletion.
